Title: The Crow: Wicked Prayer
Staring Actor(s)/Actress(es): Edward Furlong, Tito Ortiz, David Boreanaz, Tara Reid, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Marcus Chong, Yuji Okumoto
Genre: Action
Status: Out on DVD
Plot Summary: When a small mining town gets it’s mine shut down to build a new casino four men who named themselves after the For Horsemen of the Apocolypse – Death, War, Pestilence, Famine – try to take back the land by performing satanic rituals to become stronger. One of the rituals involves killing Jimmy Cuervo and his girlfriend, and cheif’s daughter, Lily. However when the crow comes and brings back Jimmy for revenge it’s up to him to stop Death from becoming Satan on Earth.
Review: This is the fourth installment of The Crow series. The first was a great movie and none of the sequels have/will ever match it, in my opinion. This movie wasn’t bad though. Although there were a few well known names it wasn’t a big movie and it wasn’t the best. The action was definately turned down from the first one and the story is relatively the same so it’s hard to make it much more interesting. Some of the casting is questionable like Dennis Hopper playing a pimp named El Nino and trying to talk like he’s “hip”, it was funny but it just took away from the movie. It was an honest sequel and had it’s moments but I probably wouldn’t watch it again.

Title: Crash
Staring Actor(s)/Actress(es): Don Cheadle, Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, Brendan Fraser, Terrence Howard, Ludacris, Ryan Phillippe
Genre: Action/Drama
Status: Out on DVD
Plot Summary: This is a story of a group of random people living in LA that, in the span of 72 hours, get their lives intertwined. Everyone has seperate stories that end up meeting together in the end to form a confusing yet interesting conclusion.
Review: I actually loved this movie. The way things happened and how everything makes sense in the end is one of the qualities that I look for in goo movies as well as the depth of each character or set of characters. The action and suspense as well as the emotion of the stories makes it really intriquing and hard to take your eyes off of it. Racism plays a major role in this movie and it is quite interesting to see how different people deal with it. The only thing that I find anything against is how a few things are left unanswered at the end but they’re not the most important and can be overlooked. I suggest you see this movie whether you’re a fan of the genre or not. It’s an amazing film.
