Title: Stay Alive

Plot Summary: After Hutch (Foster) loses his friend in a murder he inherits his video game collection. He, and his friends, decide to play a demo game they find called Stay Alive. After they start they realize that when they die in the game, it’s not just Game Over, they die.

Review: No lie, I loved this movie! I’ve been saying that a lot lately but this movie actually was really, really good. I went in, knowing the plot, thinking it was going to be stupid and boring, but the plot picked up right away and it stayed suspenseful throughout the whole movie. I was actually on the edge of my seat in the theater waiting to see what happened next. It wasn’t just a simple, slash-and-kill movie like most others, it was one of those where you had to do a little thinking. If you like scary and/or suspenseful movies I suggest seeing this! Great movie.

We Got Kicked Out of a Movie Theater!

Posted in Miscellaneous on March 25, 2006 by coryangennet

Wow. Okay, so my friends, Dana, Riley, Steve and I were going to Fargo meet Jason and Liz, some other friends. We planned on going to The Hills Have Eyes and we’re all 17 but Steve, being the genius he is, doesn’t have any ID because he doesn’t have his permit or license.

So me and Steve bought tickets for Stay Alive and tried to get into the other theater. Well the douche bag was checking tickets on that movie. So, Steve went in to talk; to Dana, grabbing his and Riley’s tickets. Then we told the guy checking tickets we were gonna go switch but they got the manager to the front of the theater and he checked the dates on my ticket (that I actually exchanged) and Steve’s (which was actually Dana’s) and they weren’t different.

So we had to go get Dana and Riley, who gave us the tickets, and we all had to fill out a form and leave. The asshole wasn’t even gonna give us a refund but Dana, surprisingly, argued with him and we got a refund.

So the rest of the night we spent driving around Moorehead, reminiscing Steve’s past. Fricken movie theater workers. Honestly, if I was one of them, I’d be so lenient with kids, it wouldn’t even be funny! So our night was amazing!

The Ice Harvest

Title: The Ice Harvest

Staring Actor(s)/Actress(es): John Cusack, Billy Bob Thornton, Connie Nielsen

Genre: Dark Comedy/Action

Status: Out on DVD/Video

Plot Summary: Charlie (Cusak) and Vic (Thorton) think they’ve pulled off the perfect crime, stealing $2 Million from a mob boss. But by the end of the night their perfect plan doesn’t seem so perfect and they go through a load of troubles along the way, including each other.

Review: I liked this movie a lot. I wanted to see it because it looked like a good story and it was. I haven’t really seen many dark comedies but this one is probably one of the best. It reminded me a little of Sin City, except a lot less gory and a lot funnier. The only drawback was that the action didn’t really pick up until towards the end, there wasn’t a lot of action but the little there was, was good. The entire cast does a great job and there’s a nice little twist at the end, so I suggest seeing it.

Must See Videos

Posted in Miscellaneous on March 23, 2006 by coryangennet

p>I’ve been really bored lately and I’ve been looking around some sites and I’ve found some pretty good ones. The first four are from iFilm and the first two are from some kids in my school that are pretty funny. The first is Lance AKA Blazer. The second one is Dr. Franklin Buchannan on ADHD.
Some other ones from iFilm are Couch Jump & Must Love Jaws.

The other ones I found were from YouTube. The first two are from the same two kids doing videos of their favorite theme songs: Pokemon & Mortal Kombat. The other one is of a song that is making fun of emo kids and it’s hilarious. It’s called The Emo Song.

These are just a few that I’ve found but you should really check them out and reply if you find any other good ones that I should see.

Title: Just Friends

Staring Actor(s)/Actress(es): Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris, Amy Smart, Chris Klein

Genre: Comedy

Status: Out on DVD/Video

Plot Summary: Ten years ago, Chris Brander (Reynolds) was the common, just friend, guy. Ten years later, some pounds lighter, and much wealthier, he returns to his hometown hoping to swoon his high school crush, and best friend (BFF!… watch the movie, you’ll get it).

Review: Loved it! I think it’s safe to say Ryan Reynolds is if not number one, of the tops of my favorite actors list. He’s, simply, hilarious. The story has a great plot line and sort of hits home for a guy like me (although I haven’t become successful and come back yet). This is a great movie and I highly suggest you to watch it, now!
