V for Vendetta

Title: V for Vendetta

Staring Actor(s)/Actress(es): Hugo Weaving, Natalie Portman, John Hurt, Stephen Rea, Tim Pigott-Smith

Genre: Action

Status: Out of DVD/Video

Plot Summary: A dictatorship has overtaken England and now a man, simply known as V (Weaving), cloaked in a mask and secrecy, is going to try to change it. Along the way, he picks up an assistant in Evey (Portman), who doesn’t know it yet, but will be an influential figure in England’s liberation.

Review: When I first saw previews for this movie, way back when, I thought it would blow. I mean it’s got the starts but the story seemed stupid and the title just made it sound even more stupid. I was wrong. This movie has it all; the action, the mystery, the story, and the all-out energy that you hope for in an action movie. The story kind of takes a turn for the uneventful for a while, but it kicks back up and ends on a great note. If you like action flicks, see it. I will definitely try to get my friends to watch this one.
