Title: Halloween

Starring Actor(s)/Actress(es): Malcolm McDowell, Tyler Mane, Daeg Faerch, Scout Taylor-Compton, Danielle Harris

Genre: Suspense/Horror

Review: Though I could never match the original, this version added some interesting detail left out by the original. This one focuses more on the story of Michael’s childhood. There’s a motive, and a predetermined reason that is left out in the original. I was happy to see some homage to the first, such as in the way a few of the murders are done, as well as bringing Danielle Harris back (who was in Halloween 4 and 5). Though I wish the ending was a bit more like the original. It was a good ending, but not what I was expecting. I’d say it’s a worthy companion to the first, but not anywhere near a replacement.
